Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Course

Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Course

Hello

I am currently studying a Dog Walking and Pet Sitting course with Animal Jobs Direct I am finding it extremely interesting and informative but I’m also enjoying every moment of it!  I would recommend the course, but please check out the link above for further animal welfare related courses on offer should you be interested.

I spent a fantastic day in March, Cambridgeshire (lovely place) for my Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Practical. I spent a day with owner of CJ March Pet Services picking up practical issues, tips, advice and experienced first hand how busy a day can be in the life of a dog walker/pet sitter.  I learnt a lot and all the support that I was given has helped me enormously.   As well as arming myself with plenty of knowledge and theory,  I also get to be hands on with my subjects; the lovely pets whilst studying the Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Course.

Furthermore, I am a qualified Pet First Aider.  I took my classroom pet first aid course with Pro-trainings and again was lucky enough to work with a cooperative and well behaved canine patient. A mixture of theory and practical courses and training, is the best way to learn, as you experience this yourself and likely to remember more.

So, I thought I would share some of my experiences, information and photos whilst studying the course with you…..

Severe Bleeding

These are a few photos taken from the Pet First Aid module on this course.  It can be a bit tricky trying to perform first aid on a healthy live dog for severe bleeding.  My friend has dogs that I absolutely adore and out of the three of them this dog was the most cooperative.   He wasn’t too sure what was going on, but he made a splendid patient! Of course, treats, breaks and cuddles help…  Think he loved the attention 🙂
